Back to School: Excitement as the ‘New Year’ Begins
As August draws to a close, the minds of parents turn to all-things back-to-school. This time of year can definitely be a little nutty but it can also be an exciting time too.
In honor of back to school, we asked our Family Room bloggers to share what they’re most looking forward to this year:
Emily: Watching my 4th grader continue to strive for independence – this year she’ll walk to school by herself.
Marisa: There is nothing better than seeing the genuine pride my son has when he accomplishes a task. I can’t wait to see his smiling face each afternoon as he relays all the highlights of his day.
Aili: The switch over from an infant classroom environment to a toddler classroom… seeing how different they are and knowing all the fun stuff that comes with it is very exciting.
Rachel: I’m beyond thrilled that my child is “looping” with his teacher — his first grade teacher will also be his second grade teacher. She’s so fabulous, and such a great fit for his needs, I wouldn’t mind if he stayed with her all through grade school!
Laura: My daughter has been in the toddler classroom for just over a month now, and it’s crazy to see just how much she has learned in that short period of time. I can’t wait to see how much more she will learn and develop—even better, I just love to see that look of accomplishment on her face when she reaches a new milestone.
