New Year’s Eve is a fun holiday…but definitely geared more for adults than kids. Anyone have ideas for making NYE a kid-friendly affair for those in the group who may still be too little to stay up until midnight? Would love some ideas. Thanks.

My resolution is to pare down our families’ possessions to only the things we really use, need and love. I wrote about it on the Mom to Mom blog here:

After I deliver my second child, exercise is going to be a big priority for me in 2013. I’m going to try to find a way to incorporate it into my day, every day, on maternity leave. I hope!

Happy almost-2013, everyone! I hope you are all enjoying the holidays. With the new year only a few days away, it seems like many people have turned their attention to resolutions for 2013. Do you have any resolutions in mind for the coming year? Do you set lofty goals or are you more about the small, manageable items you want to check off your list in the new year? Are your resolutions parenting-related?

Wishing you all a very happy, healthy new year!

    Hi everyone!

2nd post today: we are headed to visit my husband’s family in germany and mine in france for new year’s… I would love suggestions if people have been there done that… what are the musts to take (we are really trying to take the minimal amount as it will be crazy through the airports and train stations), do you recommend renting a car seat or taking your own?, suggestions for the plane ride(i’m still a new enough mommy to remember my heart sinking at the sight of a potentially screaming baby for the flight duration!!)?

    Thank you so much!
