My Daughter loves Elvis. Especially the soundtrack from Blue Hawaii.May 9, 2014 at 9:44 am #27685
Similar to HelenaMama1, I’m introducing my son to the “classics”. He LOVES the Beach Boys — The Sounds of Summer is a best of and contains all of the great ones. He’s four and knows the titles of all of them (puts in requests frequently) and can sing along with several of them. We also found really cheap compilation of “malt shop oldies” (think the old K-Tel records, but I’m probably dating myself) — he loves Rock Around the Clock, At the Hop and a bunch of doo-wop songs. I’m also starting him on the Beatles, focusing on their early stuff. He strongly prefers all of this music over “kids songs” or what’s on the radio today. It’s definitely something mom and dad can tolerate on the long car rides.
