Creative Children’s Birthday Party Themes

Creative Children’s Birthday Party Themes

My daughter’s fourth birthday party is coming up and I am trying to find a good theme. We want to have it at home, but I want it to be something that still feels special because these days it seems like every children’s birthday party we go to is a major event. She has changed her mind a bunch of times on the birthday party theme, but a constant favorite has been unicorns – based purely on her Unicorn Pillow Pet and a Pinkalicious Unicorn she got from someone at Christmas.

We’ll probably end up with a unicorn party in the end but here are some cute ideas I came across in my search for theme inspiration.

Ideas for Children’s Birthday Party Themes

A very cool dinosaur party.

Can you imagine if we had a monkey at her party? My daughter would freak out. Come on, a monkey in a suit? Who does that? It’s 2011.

A circus-themed party is a fun idea that would be fairly easy to pull off.

My go-to for EASY kid party ideas came through for me again. A magical pony/horse party could be turned into a unicorn party very simply.

This rainbow party would be a hit for the cake alone.

And Oh Happy Day and Inchmark have amazing party inspiration. Always.

LOL about the unicorn video clip. My daughter begged for the unicorn pillow pet for Christmas and Santa obliged.

I love the Rainbow party idea – may have to steal it for Olivia’s birthday if I can remember come October. 🙂

Don’t you love that movie? Ha ha. I will definitely be making that cake. I’ve made rainbow jello before and my kids were obsessed. But this would be amazing because it would be a surprise when you cut into it. We’re going with Unicorn, though. She made up her mind!

Ah, the unicorn phase! So funny how it seems like all little girls go through it! Mine is moving on to regular horses : ) She BEGGED me to plan a pony party for her, so I had to pick up a whole bunch of my little pony party suppliesfor her next birthday!
