DIY Candy-Free Valentines for Kids

DIY Candy-Free Valentines for Kids

I’m trying to get ahead of Valentine’s Day this year. Last year, a terrible bug worked its way through our family leaving me completely unprepared when February 14 arrived. So, even though it’s a month away, I’m planning to get my valentines going now. This year, I wanted to make something cute for Liam’s classmates. At age 2.5, this is the first year he really has little “friends” in his class and I wanted to give them all something cute. I don’t want to do candy and with all the food allergies in his class, I decided it was best to stay away from anything edible all together. I’m leaning toward the “mini toy/pun” valentine with something Liam likes and that his classmates will like too.

Candy-Free Valentine Ideas

Here are nine adorable ideas for candy-free valentines that I found and love:

2. “I Like How You Roll” Truck Valentine

3. “Being Your Friend is a Homerun” Baseball Valentine

4. “You Blow Me Away” Bubble Valentine

5. “I’m Wild about You” Animal Valentine

6. “I Wheelie Like You” Car Valentine

7. “Love Bug” Bug Valentine

8. “You Make the World Colorful” Mini-Paint set Valentine

9. “I Choo-Choose You” Train Valentine (not pictured). I wasn’t able to find a train valentine. Liam is obsessed with trains so I’m thinking about using some these other ones as inspiration and creating a train version. If it works out, I’ll post it on the blog.

Happy early Valentine’s Day!
