Easy Baby DIY Valentine’s Day Card
I really wanted to send cute Valentine’s Day cards to Liam’s grandparents and great grandparents this year, mainly because their love of all things Liam is only matched by my own. I wanted to come up with a DIY Valentine’s Day card project but thought Liam was too young to really “make” one. Then a few days ago I found these adorable handprint valentines via Pinterest (my obsession is a topic for another day) and sprung into action knowing I could make something similar…
Make-Your-Own Valentines from Baby
That night we broke out the finger paints and made some red handprints on cardstock. I cut hearts out of painters tape to make the little white heart in the middle of the handprint and pressed Liam’s paint covered hand on top. I glued the handprint to some scrapbook paper I had laying around and added a piece of cardstock with a greeting. My favorite part is that I glued the handprint with a just a little flap at the top so it flips up to reveal a cute little picture and greeting from Liam.
It’s certainly not the most sophisticated thing ever made but I know his grandparents will love it. And, I made it using stuff I already had lying around the house. Can’t beat a free project.
My next Valentine’s Day project–to make these Red Velvet Cheesecake Brownies (another Pinterest find). They are addictingly delicious and so perfect for Valentines Day. Anyone doing anything crafty this Valentines Day?
