National Family Pajama Night

Conversations have already started in my family about what kind of matching jammies we’ll get for all the kids in my family for Christmas morning so I was naturally drawn to this event. Clearly this is one company’s way to sell more pajamas, but I do love the idea of putting on matching pajamas, putting the kids to bed early and enjoying a glass of wine and spending a cozy night playing games by the fire. I also really like that they are partnering with The Pajama Program.  I think the mission of The Pajama Program is a really easy idea to explain to young children. All of the children we know are fortunate enough to have warm pajamas and plenty of books for bedtime stories so it would be easy to talk about how it would feel to not have those and to want to give to the children who don’t. I think I may have to do some online shopping tonight and spend some time looking for some matching flannels.

Along the lines of giving back, I’m proud to be a part of the next Parent Webinar Bright Horizons is hosting. Register here if you are interesting in Raising a Socially Responsible Child.

I don’t see any information on it for 2012! Bummer. I’ll repost here if I find anything but maybe they are not doing it again.
