Our Favorite Books for Babies

Our Favorite Books for Babies

I love giving my parent friends books as gifts when they are expecting or just had a new baby. A gift basket full of books is always appreciated and is something a little different than your typical registry items. I’m putting one together right now. I have classic books I always include (like Goodnight Moon), but would love to hear from other people what your favorite books for a new baby are? What would you give a new parent?” ADP1016, Bright Horizons Online Community

Reading to a baby

Recommended Children’s Books for Babies

Media Mom: Everywhere Babies and Big Red Barn.

Mary, Organized Mom: Everywhere Babies is one of my very favorites! I spent a lot of time reading it to my own babies.

Amy, Nourish Mom: Alligator Alphabet, Counting Cockatoos, and so many others! Here are a few more of my favorite children’s books for babies.

Kate, Rookie Mom: Peekaboo books are great. I also loved reading/singing Sandra Boyton books when Liam was a baby.

HeatherBrown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?

Jessie: Any of the Sesame Beginnings books!

Allison: Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? I used to read this to Arianna as a baby, and as she grew older and started using words she would be able to say some of the colors and animals in the book.
