Recommended Children’s Books for Toddlers

Kris-Ann, Progressive Mom: The Little Blue Truck

Media Mom: All the books in the If You Give a Mouse a Cookie series and Llama Llama Mad at Mama

Mary, Organized Mom: Only One You

Amy, Nourish Mom: The Journey Home from Grandpa’sPolar Bear, Polar Bear, What Do You Hear? We’re Going on a Bear Hunt

Kate, Rookie Mom: Anything by Eric Carle rocks for toddlers. Really engaging, visual and short enough text to keep a toddler interested. Liam now loves to “read” Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? and The Very Hungry Caterpillar himself since he has both completely memorized from reading them so frequently.

Heather: Who Said Moo

Jessie: Touch and feel books (like Pat the Bunny, Baby Animals, etc.)

Allison: Chicka, Chicka, Boom, Boom. After reading the book a millions, I found a DVD version. Since Arianna was already familiar with the story, it was fun to have a song/dance to go along with it!
