#SocialParenting: Birthday Cheer Card-Making Activity for Kids
The children at Bright Horizons at Crystal Lake (Crystal Lake, IL) have been learning about social responsibility and what it means to give back to others. The children at the center recently participated in a Birthday Cheer Card activity, designed by the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children, to deliver birthday cards to children in homeless shelters who may not get to celebrate. This project helps teach children kindness, empathy, gratitude, and community responsibility! The kids had a blast decorating the birthday cards and learned how wonderful it feels to do something nice for others.
Bright Horizons at Crystal Lake was featured on the Bright Horizons Facebook page as part of our What in the World Happened Today? curriculum series. Check out all of our center features to learn more about the wonderful learning environments created for children every day.
