#SocialParenting: Homemade Hanukkah Menorah

November and December are full of fun holiday celebrations of all kinds at Bright Horizons centers! Because many children at Bright Horizons at Bellevue (Bellevue, WA) were celebrating Hanukkah last month, their Art Studio teacher worked with all the children to make a menorah for the center. Each classroom helped to create this holiday masterpiece! After constructing it with plastic tubes, they taped it all together, covered it with paper mache and painted it blue. The homemade Hanukkah menorah sat proudly in their center lobby and a new candle was added each day of Hanukkah. Check out their beautiful work (and the fun they had making it!):

Love this! I don’t think our center did any Hanukkah crafts, but maybe next year. My son celebrates both holidays, so it would be nice to have a little of both at daycare.
