#SocialParenting: Kindergarten Prep Quilt Making Activity

Throughout the year, the children from the Kindergarten Prep classroom at Bright Horizons at Beverly Cummings Center regularly visit an elder care facility that is located in the same office park as their child care center. The children have become friends with those in elder care and they enjoy spending time doing activities together.

To show appreciation for their friends in elder care, the Kindergarten Prep class is creating a special gift – they are making a quilt! During the quilt making activity, each child painted an individual quilt square. All of the squares will be buttoned together to form a large, colorful quilt.

Check out all the fun the children have had while working on this creative art project in the video below, which is currently featured on the Bright Horizons YouTube channel.
