Working Parent Parenting & Child Care by Stage Child Development Education Family Health Family Life In the News

We are getting in the Thanksgiving spirit around our house and talking a lot about what we are thankful for.  Each Tuesday the Pre-K class at my daughter’s child care center has a special circle time where they share something from home.  Last week everyone brought in a picture of a bird, the week before was free choice (my daughter brought in her ballet clothes), this week they are supposed to bring a list of what they are thankful for.  Here’s my daughter’s list:

  • Ice Cream (I can’t argue with that one)
  • Turkey (Really?  She doesn’t even eat turkey)
  • Cupcakes
  • Grandparents
  • My Mommy and Daddy (Again, really can’t argue there! 🙂 )
  • My dog
  • Chocolate Milk
  • Moose Tracks (I asked her what that was.  She said, “I don’t know.  My teacher likes it.  It is chocolate and made of moose.”)
  • Watermelon (Glad she appreciates one healthy food after the ice cream, cupcakes, and chocolate milk)
  • My Yard
  • The Trees

Not a bad list!  What are you thankful for?

That is a very comprehensive list she has. I’ve had this conversation with my little guy recently and his list had “Legos” ahead of Mom and Dad. But, hey we made the list.
